Self-taught Anishinaabe artist Don Ningewance has the gift of capturing the ancient legends of the Lac Suel Ojibwa people in his art. His nature and legend paintings are magical, vibrant, and detailed.
-
Don grew up on Lac Suel in Northern Ontario. His paintings are renowned for their use of color, light, and texture. In 1992, Ningewance was commissioned by the Bradford Exchange to create a series of six plates featuring the image of wolves. He was also commissioned by Ducks Unlimited to do a limited edition print of waterfowl.

-
The popularity of his work continues to grow among collectors. Don has won numerous regional awards and had a Show at The Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
