"The Shaman Artist
Wishes to express to us
Through
The art form
That we are all
Like children
-
Our childlike simplicity
With dignity and sweet humility
We view
One environment
and
Remind us of the Pure Spirit
Expressing itself upon ourselves."

>>> The painting presented above shows the creatures of the Sky, Land & Water interconnected with power lines representing the interdependence of all living creatures upon Mother Earth - 'Circle of Life'.

Note: The acrylic on canvas titled "Father's Children" was acquired directly from the artist by Mr. Gary Lamont a.k.a Gary Bruce Thacky of www.woodlandartgallery.ca and it was executed in Thunder Bay, Ontario just before Norval Morrisseau left for the West Coast in 1987.

BLOG MASTER'S COMMENT: His art is speaking to you. It is amazing how powerful his paintings emanate energy. The image on the front of the canvas is a 'signature' to his style. Morrisseau's signature style of painting blends harmonic colour combinations along with different shapes and sizes. Creating a soothing balance of medicinal colour as seen in the canvas of nature throughout this creation.
